Role Concept

Resident Artists are the editorial heart of the studio.

Like illustrators, fashion designers, or painters, they create visual narratives through nails.

Base & Bloom’s design identity lives and breathes through this role.

This position is design-only. No structural work.

No crossover duties.

Mastery of artistry is the sole focus.

Responsibilities

Create 30/60/90-minute editorial nail art sets.

Interpret studio themes (monthly muses, color stories, references).

Collaborate with Base Engineers on structure hand-offs.

Maintain consistency in aesthetic style + brand identity.

Document designs for catalogs and content.

Keep tools, palettes, and workspace organized and efficient.

Qualifications

1+ year experience in nail artistry.

Portfolio demonstrating range, storytelling, and precision.

Strong knowledge of color theory + composition.

Ability to design within time constraints.

Licensed nail technician.

Expectations

Full-time availability (35–40 hours weekly).

No structural responsibilities.

Commitment to editorial excellence + creativity.

Ability to follow creative direction while adding personal voice.
