Role Concept


The Base Engineer executes the structural foundation of every service.
Like an architect, a ceramicist, or a woodworker, they ensure that the form can hold the art.
The Base & Bloom Method depends on this role: no art, no bloom, and no design is possible without the engineering beneath it.
This role exists to ensure excellence, durability, and consistency.

There are no design duties for this position.
There is no crossover into artistry.


Base Engineers master one discipline: structure.


Responsibilities


- Execute standardized manicure and structural services (prep, apex, balance, shape).
- Maintain time accuracy to maintain service flow.
- Ensure sanitation, safety, and technical excellence.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding shape + length selections.
- Collaborate with Resident Artists for hand-off when applicable.
- Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and studio standards.


Qualifications

- 1+ year professional nail experience (non-negotiable).
- Exceptional technical skill in shaping, structure, and form.
- Ability to work within our standardized system.
- Strong time management + precision-oriented mindset.
- Licensed nail technician (Florida state requirement).

- Full-time availability (35–40 hours weekly).
- Must adhere to studio system (no crossover into design).
- Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and calm execution.
- Team-first mindset: collaboration with Artists + Front Desk.
- Comfort working in an editorial-quality environment.
